”My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations.”   Isaiah 56:7

A Place for a Personal Encounter with God

Vision of the Center

The Jerusalem Prayer Center exists to provide a place where

  • believers are encouraged to have a personal encounter with God
  • believers living in Israel, as well as pilgrims and tourists from around the world, can intercede for the peoples of Israel and the world
  • through prayer, individuals can be involved in the extension of God's unshakable Kingdom to the ends of the earth, beginning in Jerusalem
  • local churches and other groups can draw aside for a day of prayer or a time of prayer retreat

Prayer Chapel
The Prayer Chapel, located on the ground floor of the prayer center, offers a beautiful space for group worship and study. The central focus of the chapel is the 4.4 meter X 3.8 meter HARVEST FIELD mural. The mural features the "Seven Species" of Deuteronomy 8:8 and the words of Jesus in Matthew 9:37-38 "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." (NIV)

Interactive Prayer Room

The central feature of the Jerusalem Prayer Center is The Upper Room, an interactive prayer room designed for meeting with God on a personal level. The three sections of the room-Praise, Confession, Intercession-lead you from a recognition of the greatness and love of God the Father, Son & Holy Spirit, through a time of personal introspection and confession, to a place of intercession for God's harvest in "Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth."
Banners with scriptures in Arabic, Hebrew & English hung throughout the room call you to meet with God. Special stations offer you the facility for expressing your prayers through journaling, drawing, interceding before maps of Israel and the world, kneeling before the cross and reading God's Word.

In our hurried world of work and ministry the Upper Room offers a place where we can draw aside and "be still and know I am God." Psalm 46:10

Come join us in praying for God's harvest among all the peoples of the earth.

"As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord, by failing to pray for you." I Samuel 12:23

History of the Center Building
The Jerusalem Prayer Center is located in an historic, one hundred-year-old building that was once part of the American Colony of Jerusalem. Baptists have owned the building for the past 40 years. It has served as a university student ministry center, a New Testament Study Center, a YWAM base and various other ministries.

Strategic Location

Located at 35 Nablus Road (Derech Shechem) the JPC is positioned on the dividing line between Arab East Jerusalem and Jewish West Jerusalem. This location places it on a strategic site to facilitate prayer for ALL peoples of the Holy Land and beyond. Prayer walking through the ancient walled city of Jerusalem and visiting the Garden Tomb are only a five-minute walk away.
